Biography
Danuta Maria Antosiewicz, Professor, completed Ph.D at the University of Warsaw (Poland), than held postdoctoral position at Rice University and at the University of California, La Jolla. Currently works for University of Warsaw, Faculty of Biology. She serves as editorial board member of “Biometalsâ€. She served as a member of the Management Committee EU COST Actions related to phytoremediation and also to biofortification in minerals. She published in reputed journals over 40 papers on physiological and molecular mechanisms of a plant response to heavy-metals, on regulation of metal cross-homeostasis and on mechanisms of generation of the phenotype of transgenic plants expressing metal-homeostasis genes.
